Message from the Headteacher

I am delighted to welcome you to the Windwhistle Primary School website.

We are extremely proud of our school and the achievements of all our pupils and hope when you explore our website that you get some insight into all of our successes, our hardworking staff and fantastic community.

Our dedicated team of staff work very hard to ensure that all of our pupils are ‘the best they can be’ and ensure that we provide a secure, safe and nurturing learning environment where everyone is valued as an individual and supported to be happy, enthusiastic and inquisitive learners.   We strive to provide opportunities for success for all our pupils in every aspect of their development and are committed to providing an enriched curriculum, a range of extra-curricular activities and a focus on emotional well-being. We believe that the best success can be achieved through working in partnership with our pupils, their families and carers, the governors and the local community.

Our motto is “Achievement by Building Confidence” and we aim to achieve this for our children in all areas of school life.  Every child is nurtured academically, socially and emotionally to support their development.  We believe that children learn best through “doing”; we arrange visits to places to enable them to have first-hand experience of areas of the curriculum such as History and Geography.  We also have regular productions from theatre companies so that the children can enjoy live performances of drama and music.

Visitors are always welcome, either in person or through the website; so step inside and get a taste of life at Windwhistle Primary School.  Browse around the different pages and come back to the website often and get to know more about our staff and children. Please don’t forget to leave a message on our "Comments Board".

If you would like to contact the School you will find the details on our 'Contact Us” web page.
