Year 4
Curriculum 2020/21
Following the Covid-19 lockdown our curriculum for 2020/21 is different.
We began the year with a Resilience and Independence curriculum, including some elements of the curriculum that were missed in the summer term.
We then moved on to an ‘up to speed’ curriculum where teachers will plan to teach the key elements of the curriculum that weren’t taught in Terms 5 and 6 along with related elements of the curriculum for this year whilst still teaching resilience and independence skills. We are covering all subjects to ensure a broad and balanced curriculum.
Children needing extra support receive a ‘catch up’ curriculum in addition to this, to enable them to make accelerated progress.
We expect to be able to return to the full curriculum by Easter 2021.
Later in the year we will be in a position to share long-term curriculum overviews and curriculum maps for parents on our website.
